With Andrew Bynum's return date remaining an entire mystery, a rival NBA general manager said the Philadelphia 76ers have made trade inquiries about acquiring a starting caliber center.

Bynum will be an unrestricted free agent in the offseason and is likely to receive a max contract offer even if he doesn't play a single game this season.

"They got to be a little panicked now," one GM said. "They could get a really interesting deal for him. I could see them doing that."
